About this Event:
With the growing prevalence of cyber threats in today’s world, there is a need for businesses to get ahead by reducing their vulnerability in the online space. While companies of all sizes are susceptible to cyber threats, Singapore’s Cyber Security Agency recently noted that Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) are increasingly being attacked and used as conduits to target larger companies, organisations or even governments. In 2018, almost 40% of all cyber-attacks or breaches were targeted at SMEs. This is a troubling statistic as 68% of SMEs currently do not have a systematic approach for ensuring cybersecurity.
Given that SMEs make up 99% of businesses and employ over 70% of our workforce, it is undeniable that they play a key role in our digital economy. Boosting the cybersecurity of SMEs will ensure their businesses continue to thrive and enable a strong economy that can withstand cyberattacks.
Join us at AmCham to learn about the common cyberthreats that impact SMEs and how SMEs can protect themselves through holistic and strategic defence methods.
