New poll highlights concern over gig workers' prospects

Half of the food delivery riders and ride-hailing drivers here earn a monthly household per capita income of $1,500 or less, putting them in the bottom third of Singapore's workers.

Blue-collar gig economy workers also tend to be young: Three-quarters of them are aged 35 and below.
